What to Expect at Your First Appointment

Your appointment will begin with a conversation. Our hearing specialists will ask you some questions about your hearing, family history, and medical history.

An ear exam will be performed where we will view your ear canal and eardrum using an otoscope. We want to ensure a build-up of cerumen is not impacting your hearing.

After we’ve ensured your ears are clear, then we will begin the hearing test. This will assess your ability to hear different sounds and frequencies as well as your ability to understand speech in noise and in quiet.

We will go over the results of your audiogram with you and discuss different solutions.

So Cal Hearing West Valley is a preferred hearing care provider for the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation. Through this partnership, the PAF aims to bring better hearing to former professional athletes and their fans across the nation. Together, we spread awareness, help players in need of hearing care, and collected data on the connection between hearing loss and professional football.
